Dhaani Episode 20 Review – Absolutely Boring!

Ohkay so, props to the director for crossing the 20th episode mark, which was probably his main motive because other than that, I don’t see any justification or rational reasoning behind dragging a story like Dhaani which has practically nothing left to offer now. I hate to see a drama which started off at such a good note getting down to this level where it is absolutely boring to watch & is being stretched to a point where it hardly interests me anymore.

Sameer is struggling & Niyaz is supporting him, so, is there anything new to it, no, because this is what we saw in the previous episode too!!! I can not believe the gang or the group of boys that once used to be so much fun to watch was becoming so hard to tolerate that I had to forward the scenes in which they appeared & yes I am talking about Raja & his friends. The needless screaming is a bit too hard to handle & even their conversations are so repetitive that I know they’d be obsessing over Sameer, without even listening to them! Yes, we get it, Raja & his friends want to protect Dhaani & want to prove a point, but I guess they have done it a lot of times before too, so there’s no need to do that again & again because it serves no purpose whatsoever. I think this was done deliberately that Raja’s character was reduced from being a supportive cousin to a mere goon in order to make Sameer look good & a better option for Dhaani because I remember there was a time when I was actually rooting for Dhaani & Raja, but not anymore. Also, I still haven’t developed any sympathy for Sameer’s character, may be because I have Hammad’s character from Khuda Aur Mohabbat as a better option, so I am definitely going to prefer Hammad’s journey over Sameer’s!!!

Bee Jee agrees to Amjad’s demand of meeting Dhaani once & I am sure after finding out that Sameer is the guy who Dhaani is in love with, he will call his engagement with Dhaani off himself, since he is too good & too sweet & too seedha & too boring. It is actually quite frustrating that Dhaani who was running the entire show single-handedly has just become like a shadow hovering around behind the closed doors. I don’t think it was a wise move of the director or the writer for that matter to actually make Dhaani invisible only to give Sameer the coverage which still isn’t doing anything for the viewers to form a connection with him!

This episode was repetitive & boring to be honest. I really think they need to wrap this drama up may be in a couple of episodes because they have taken way more time than required to cover a story like this, which is nothing but a different version of Khuda Aur Mohabbat. The only difference is that this one is going to have a happy ending, which sadly will come at such a point when the viewers will be leasttt bothered about it! Please share your thoughts about this episode of Dhaani!

Keep Supporting,
Cheers,
Zahra Mirza.
