Four Pakistani Films Clashing This Eid-ul-Fitr

Eid has always been a magical time for the film industry to enjoy a booming business. Cinema goers love to visit the bustling cinema theaters and celebrate the grand occasion by watching their favorite films with their family and friends. With the most updated stories, the film season is gaining popularity and cinema culture is reviving. This Eid, there are plenty of new cinema releases to keep you occupied with comedy and drama.

Here’s a list of local films releasing this Eid-ul-Fitr.

1) Verna
Away from the glitz and noise of Bollywood, Pakistan is producing films with heartfelt human stories that strike a chord with audiences. The ace writer, Shoaib Mansoor’s Verna will deal with social issues regarding women in Pakistan. The maetro Shoaib Mansoor has penned and directed the film.

It’s a social drama film which will urge the women to speak. Starring Mahira Khan and Haroon Shahid in lead roles, Verna is expected to release on Eid-ul-Fitr 2017.

2) Jhol
Initially titled two plus two, Jhol stars Ali Azmat and Urwa Hocane in lead roles. Directed by Shahid Shafaar, the film also stars Bilal Ashraf and Salim Meraj in pivotal roles whereas Ayesha Omar will be performing an item number. This situational comedy is surely going to give us a good dose of laughter.

The story-line will be based on an ayyash cop, some low IQ terrorists and a business woman.

3) Arth 2
Seems like, Shaan Shahid’s Arth 2 will finally release this year. It’s a remake of Maheh Bhatt’s Arth, and is written and directed by Pakistan’s biggest star Shaan. Shot in London, and landing in Pinewood for it’s post production, Arth 2 stars Shaan Shahid, Uzma Hassan, Mohib Mirza and Humaima Malik in lead roles.

4) Mehrunisa V Lub U
After the success of Yasir Nawaz’s Wrong No, he is bringing his second film project, ‘Mehrunnisa V Lub You.’ Starring handsome hunk Danish Taimoor and the beautiful drama actress Sana Javed making a debut in the film, we are sure this will be a comical journey, as evident from Nawaz’s previous drama productions and film.

Mehrunisa V Lub U promises to be high on quality and laughter. The films also features Amna Ilyas in an item song.
