Noor, adaptation of Saba Imtiaz novel’s trailer looks promising

Karachi You’re Killing me is a novel by Pakistani author, Saba Imtiaz. It was announced sometime back that Bollywood is making a movie based on it starring Sonakshi Sinha.

And now, finally, the trailer of the movie is out and Saba seems very happy with it.

Soon after the trailer was released, Saba took to Twitter to express her excitement and joy.

The movie is an adaption of the novel. You can watch the trailer here:

“While the book – a coming-of-age story of a journalist named Ayesha Khan — is set in Karachi, Noor will be based in Mumbai and has the eponymous Noor Roy Chaudhary, a 20-something journalist, at its centre,” a close source to the movie, was quoted as saying, reports Mumbai Mirror.

“It’s a beautiful story that follows Noor as she navigates relationships, career, aspirations, life choices, infatuations and body image issues. Every girl will relate to her,” added the source.

However, Sonakshi denied that she will be playing Pakistani journalist. She previously said: “All I can say is that I am not playing a Pakistani journalist in the film. The film is based on a book, which is written by a Pakistani author. The story has been adapted into a Mumbai backdrop.”

Saba, herself confirmed that the movie is not exactly like the book but an adaptation of it.

The trailer seems fun and entertaining and we can’t wait to find out how well the movie does once it is released.
