Abida Parveen is the icon of the Sufi Kalams of our generation and her kalaams have played a vital role for many of her followers in finding their soul and a direction. Abida Parveen is not only famous in Pakistan but is respected and followed with love across the globe. No matter who you are and where are you from, you all will have one thing in common and that is, the love for Abida Parveen.
Abida Parveen was born on 20 February 1954. She married Ghulam Hussain Sheikh in 1975. Ghulam Hussain was a senior producer in Radio Pakistan and after taking retirement, he was working with Abida to give her career a direction that was required. After his death, Abida’s daughter is now working closely with her mother and manage her programs and engagements.
