According to ESPN sports, he umpired 145 test matches. 231 ODI matches, 72 T20 matches and 5 WT20 matches. He retired in March 2023. Talking about it, Aleem Dar said, “In 2003, I was umpiring for World Cup matches. It was an international tour and the start of my career. I was the youngest umpire in the panel, with 12 international matches under my belt. It was the turning point of my life. My seven-month-old daughter passed away while I was busy with the World Cup. My wife didn’t tell me the news, and my family hid it from me for a month because they knew it was the start of my career. I learned about it from someone who met me in Johannesburg, despite my father’s strict instructions not to tell me.
