Comedians in Pakistan have seen a lot of phases in their lives. There was a time when theatre plays were on the peak and many of the big names of today used to perform in those plays. From Sohail Ahmed to Waseem Abbas and many others have performed on stage and entertained the audience. They later on moved towards the television and been through several phases after theatre went down in Pakistan.
Rubi Anam is one such senior artist who is known for her beauty, her sense of humour and her talent in Pakistan. She is also constantly seen on different shows and she has done films as well. Nowadays many shows like Khabarnak, Hasb e Haal an Mazaaq Raat have given platform to comedians to showcase their immense talent.
Rubi Anam talked about how much a comedian can earn in Pakistan. She revealed that she is thankful to Aftab Iqbal as he brought comedians to television. These artists used to earn around 35000 PKR in the beginning. Later on they became brands and now many junior artists earn up to 12 lakh rupees while stars earn over 25 lakh for their work.
