Iqra University is one of the famous universities of Pakistan. The university is currently facing backlash for showcasing a bold fashion show. Iqra University Fashion Odyssey 2024 was organized by AIFD and Iqra University. The grand event showcased a collection of talented young designers from Iqra University. Top models walked the ramp, and famous fashion icons also took part in the event.

Iqra University’s bold fashion show is facing backlash. Social media users are of the view that the name of the university doesn’t match with the kind of bold dresses they design. Another social media user wrote, “Iqra is the first word sent by Allah, and they are displaying vulgarity with that word”. Most were of the opinion that the university is promoting vulgarity in the name of creativity. Many said that the current youth has chosen a wrong path for them and they love to follow western fashion and culture.
