Madiha Imam is a brilliant Pakistani actress who is known for her mature acting skills and serious characters. Her notable dramas are Zulm, Muqaddar, Baba Jani, Zakham, Ishq Jalebi, Dushman E Jaan, Dil E Momin and others. She will soon be seen in a Geo TV drama alongside Khushhal Khan.
Recently, Madiha Imam appeared in the podcast, Pressure Buhat Hai, hosted by Faysal Quraishi. In the podcast, she called out TV critics.
She said, “I sometimes get unnecessary questions related to production mistakes, I can only be answerable about my acting. I categorically say that you should ask this from the concerned party, because the script can’t be only about me”.
Madiha Imam further added, “our critics haven’t evolved yet, they are still doing the same job. See Faysal! correct me if I am wrong because you are much more experienced than me, what are they doing to a new talent by demoralizing him/her through their harsh words. I Knew that I was a stupid actor, during my initial days, but I was taught by people like you. I wasn’t sent back to the home”.
She also said, “I want our TV and digital critics to be kind and empathetic towards new actors so that they learn and improve. They should give constructive criticism instead of doing personal attacks and mud-slinging. If they make fun of actors like this; they themselves will be mocked. Be constructive or don’t do criticism only”.
Faysal Quraishi also added that our Pakistani dramas have now gotten an international audience, people from all sides of the world are watching the dramas, so there should be a room given to the fiction by the critics.
Madiha Imam also said that she was so much hurt by the social media trolling that happened at her wedding. She said, “How can you troll someone on the basis of facial features, nationality and other things, like people trolled me and my husband a lot after my marriage. I gave a lot of explanation to the people but then I decided to stay quiet. Now, I don’t care about people. I uploaded my Nikah pictures but they didn’t believe me, there are multiple religions in India, how can you troll someone like this”. Here is the link to the video:
