Maulana Tariq Jameel has apologized and accepted his mistake for passing hurtful remarks. He acknowledged that his tongue slipped at the end of the Telethon which was also attended by Prime Minister Imran Khan.
PM Imran Khan’s Ehsaas Relief Telethon where they raised funds to fight COVID-19. At the end of it, Maulana Tariq Jameel prayed for the whole nation.
While praying, he praised Imran Khan and also criticized journalists and blamed immodest women for this disease.
After this, he was top trending on Twitter because he called media houses around the world “liars” and told them that they need to be more truthful.
Maulana Tariq Jameel came live on television and apologized for his words which caused controversy.
