Momal Sheikh is the daughter of veteran superstar Javed Sheikh and sister of Shahzad Sheikh but her family did not allow her to pursue a career on camera. She started working in production behind the scenes and always wanted to act but she did not get permission from her father. It was her husband Nader Nawaz who allowed her to join showbiz after their marriage and supported her aspirations.
The couple were guests on Shan e Suhoor with Nida Yasir and they talked about their life after marriage, their dynamic with their respective families and their love and admiration for each other. They also touched upon Momal getting an offer for a Bollywood film and how she was able to make it work as she had just had her first baby, her son.
Nader shared that she got the offer from the director of that film as they wanted only her for the role and though her father who was starring in that film was not convinced, the director still pursued her for the character. Nader said that according to him it was their baby’s luck that Momal was offered that film and he told her that. He pushed her to do the film and said that every child brings his luck and you have gotten the film due to their baby’s lucky arrival.
