Pakistanis loved the story, the authentic Turkish culture and the way Islam is portrayed in the series. It is one of the most successful drama series in the world with multiple seasons and all the stars being recognized around the globe.
After Ertugrul made records in Pakistan, the Pakistani entertainment industry had a lot to say about it. Many supported the content while others said that Turkish actors are taking away opportunities from Pakistani actors. But everyone agreed that the series was a huge hit among the masses.

They said that the series was a hit actually because of all the saas-bahu drama and the intrigues of the household shown in it. It was not a hit because of action sequences or wars. They said that television audiences all over the world is the same and they mostly want to watch the household issues on their television screens.
