He is one of the few artists who speak openly about social and political issues and likes to raise awareness regarding what is important to him. He is married to his lovely wife Maira Rana who is a writer herself and we often get to see some really good views from her side.
Omair and Maira have gone through a huge tragedy together as parents and Omair has opened up about it previously. The couple lost their twin daughters just when they were about to be born and it was one of the most devastating moments in their lives. Talking to Samina Peerzada, Omair had spoken about how shocking this was for their whole family and something they will never be able to forget.
In his latest interview with Iffat Omar, Omair got emotional speaking about his late daughters. He shared that he refers to his daughters as “Titliyan” aka butterflies and with time he has learnt to accept the loss. He also spoke about spending time with his babies every year on their death anniversary. He added that he believes that he will have to earn his heaven by doing good so he can meet them one day.
