Keeping Your Body Hydrated

With or without Ramadan, all the dieticians around the world emphasize on how important it is to keep the body hydrated to aggravate the weight loss process. It might seem impossible at first considering the long hours of fasting but if broken down properly, it is very easy to meet the water in-take criteria for the weight loss. Drinking 2 litres of water per day will suffice throughout the month of Ramadan and it will not only help with the detoxification of the body but will also keep the cravings at bay.

2 liters of water make upto almost 8 glasses. In order to break down the water in-take, the easiest way is to drink 2 glasses at Iftar. It is also recommended to break your fast with water because that is the time when the body needs it the most and it helps with the digestion of the food that is eaten immediately after. Continue to drink 4 glasses of water in the time between Iftaar and Suhoor. 1 glass per hour is achievable and easy to take. The remaining 2 glasses of water should be consumed at Suhoor. The extra beverages such as fizzy and caffeinated drinks do not count as water in-take, so one should be mindful with what sort of fluid is being taken during the non-fasting hours.

Having A Balanced Iftar

In Ramadan the metabolism slows down therefore the energy needs of the body are automatically decreased. The Iftaar meal should not make up for all those hours of fasting which were spent without food. The mistake one makes during Iftar is that a lot of food is consumed, in big portions and large variety, which over-fills the stomach and makes the digestion process slow and difficult. While approaching Iftar, think of it as a regular dinner meal that you eat the rest of the year. After breaking the fast, don’t indulge in the food in one-go, instead, take a break, offer your prayers, wait for a few minutes and then resume the meal. Fried food items are high in calories and low in nutrition. They might be super tasty but one should be extra cautious while consuming them during Ramadan because the only thing they aid the body is with the weight gain. Not Skipping Suhoor

Skipping Suhoor is a risky choice because you will tend to get hungrier throughout the day which will result in overeating at Iftar and that is something that has to be avoided to continue with the weight loss journey.

Limiting Salt In-take During Suhoor

Following the pathetic backlash that Maulana Tariq Jameel received for his speech and dua during the Prime Minister’s Ehsaas Telethon, the respected cleric has issued an apology for his certain remarks that might have upset a certain sect of the society.

Among a number of Pakistani films, Khuda Kay Liye happens to be one of those films which earned a lot of critical acclaim around the world.

Khuda Kay Liye, directed by Shoaib Mansoor, released in 2007. The film starred Shaan Shahid, Fawad Khan and Iman Ali in pivotal roles, with a cameo appearance by Naseeruddin Shah.

Khuda Kay Liye followed the story of Mansoor and Sarmad (played by Shaan and Khan), two singers whose lives change after the events of 9/11 attacks in America and misinterpreted teachings of Jihad.

Recently, veteran Bollywood actor Naseeruddin Shah, who played a small but pivotal role in the film, opened up about why he chose to be part of the Pakistani film Khuda Kay Liye.

During an interview with IANS, the 70 year old actor said, “It is not always the character but what the intention behind telling the story is that matters the most.”

Shah stated that the film’s idealogy was in line with his own as he hailed from an orthodox family that had raised several questions in his mind about his faith and the true meaning of Islam.

According to the actor Khuda Kay Liye answered all the misconceptions he had had about religion, and therefore he had found it worthy enough to jump onboard.

“All those questions were addressed in Khuda Kay Liye. So, as an actor, I had to agree with the ideology that the story was showing, not necessarily the character that I was portraying,” he said.

Corona Virus has become a global issue thousands of people have lost their lives because of this fatal virus. Governments throughout the world has announced the lock down. In Pakistan as our economy is not strong enough that government could support people who work on daily wages. Government has announced a fund by the name of Corona Relief fund. Prime minister is asking people to donate in this fund. He appeared in a live Telethon asking for donations. Molana Tariq Jamil also became a part of this live transmission.

Molana Tariq Jamil quoted one of the Hadees of Phorphet PBUH and while referring towards the Behayai he just mentioned short clothes of women.

People are losing their mind over this statement and asking that whether women wearing short clothes is the only cause of behayai? Does rapes, harassment, child abuse, honor killing, acid attacks doesn’t count in?
