Pakistani dramas are a hit globally now. Their relatable stories, realistic looking characters and especially the lead couples and their chemistry is what brings the audience to the screens. Recently, we had some very good on-screen couples and it reminds us of some classic couples that need to come back to channels and they will surely be a hit again.
Pakistani dramas since the early 90s have given us some of the best couples and seeing them together again will bring back a lot of nostalgia and many of these actors are great actors which will ensure good performances that will be pulling a lot of viewership and will intrigue interest. Here are some on-screen couples that need to make a comeback on screen:
Humayun Saeed & Nadia Jamil
Humayun Saeed and Nadia Jamil are not just two very talented stars of Pakistan. They started their journeys in Pakistani dramas at a similar time and they still have the ability to attract viewers to the screens. Having them togetehr again in a full-fledged drama with a mature love story will be a hit with younger and mature audience both and it will also be able to pull the lovers of old school drama as both the stars possess that charm.
Fawad Khan & Mahira Khan
Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan brought back the audience from Star Plus to Pakistani dramas with their fiery chemistry. Their fans still miss them and it was a happy occasion to get them back in Maula Jatt. But having them back in a full fledged drama is something fans still miss. Fawad is working on international platforms but he is yet to sign a Pakistani drama and fans are waiting.
Osman Khalid Butt & Maya Ali
Osman Khalid Butt and Maya Ali are the OG ship of the audience. They worked together in two blockbusters: Aunn Zara and Diyar e Dil. These two were loved by the Pakistani drama audience and fans even shipped them together in real life. They are best friends but they have not worked together since Sanam and fans would love to watch them together again in a fresh story.
Imran Abbas & Ayeza Khan
Imran Abbas and Ayeza Khan make another beautiful on-screen couple of Pakistani dramas. They have done several hits together and their chemistry in Mohabbat Tum Se Nafrat Hai is still remembered. They last worked together in Koi Chand Rakh and it was a big hit with the viewers. They are once again good friends and this chemistry is always visible in dramas. These two need to come back again and this will be another hit comeback of an on-screen Pakistani drama couple.
Faysal Quraishi & Samiya Mumtaz
The two stars worked together in the hit drama Meri Zaat Zara e Benishan. That drama went on to become a cult classic and Samiya Mumtaz was added as a great talent to our drama industry. Faysal Quraishi has been working with some younger actresses and watching him with Samiya will be a great nostalgia for the fans. Another hit pairing that needs to make a comeback.
Farhan Saeed & Iqra Aziz
Suno Chanda brought a new trend in Pakistani dramas. Farhan Saeed and Iqra Aziz as Arsal and Ajiya brought a great chemistry on-screen. They are still touted as one of the best casting in recent dramas and their fans have waited for them to sign a project together. Farhan and Iqra’s comeback is much-awaited and viewers will love to watch them together again.
Feroze Khan & Sana Javed
Feroze Khan and Sana Javed brought another hit pair to Pakistani dramas. They worked together in Khaani, Romeo Weds Heer and Aye Musht e Khaak. Feroze Khan has been working with new co-stars while Sana Javed has been missing in action since her marriage to cricketer Shoaib Malik. Khaani fans will definitely appreciate it if these two come back in an intense drama.
Adnan Siddiqui & Saba Qamar
Adnan Siddiqui and Saba Qamar are among Pakistan’s most talented actors. They always bring their A-game to any project they sign up for. Their performances in the cult classic Maat are remembered to this day, and seeing them together again in a thriller or a drama genre project will be a hit with the audience.
Zahid Ahmed & Yumna Zaidi
Yumna Zaidi and Zahid Ahmed are phenomenal talent of Pakistani dramas. They have worked together in several dramas like Zara Yaad Kar, Jugnoo and Ishq Zah e Naseeb. They showed how good they are even if paired non-romantically in Ishq Zah e Naseeb. They shared the screen together in Gentleman but not opposite each other recently and now they need to comeback as leads as they both know how to light the screen on fire.
Hamza Ali Abbasi & Sajal Aly
Alif is another classic that will be remembered for several reasons. Hamza Ali Abbasi and Sajal Ali, as Qalb e Momin and Momina Sultan, respectively, are one of the main reasons. The chemistry these two brought was phenomenal and needs to be recreated in another good story. A big-budget show with a meaningful script is necessary to bring these two together, and it will be a treat for Pakistani drama watchers.
