Anwar Masood is one of the most famous and loved poets from Pakistan for the past two generations now. His literary works and his Punjabi poems have made him a household name and people of all generations love his way of incorporating truth about society in humour. He was just given Hilal e Imtiaz by the Government of Pakistan and his talent was recognized at the highest level.
Anwar Masood was a guest on Hafiz Ahmed’s podcast and he spoke about his late wife very lovingly. He revealed that his wife like him was also a Persian professor and she has great love for The Holy Quran and she kept teaching The Quran till her last breath. He shared that theirs was a love marriage and their families agreed as the match was so good.
Anwar Sahab revealed that he wrote a verse for his wife when she passed away and today that verse is used by everyone. Here is the verse:

He also narrated another poem that he wrote for his late wife. He shared that his wife loved to impart Quranic education and did that till the end of her life. She passed away in Ramadan while she was fasting. He also revealed that she had a great command of poetry and used to listen to his poems.
