Tensions between India and Pakistan have been on the rise since the Uri attacks and the artist community has suffered a lot due to it. While, Bollywood banned Pakistan actors in India, we banned their movies.
It seems, however, that the Kapoor family doesn’t approve of this ban on Pakistani artists because Rahat Fateh Ali Khan recently performed at a Kapoor wedding in Abu Dhabi.
The destination wedding was for Arjun Kapoor’s cousin, Akshay Marwah. The wedding was star studded and our very own, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan performed at the Sangeet ceremony.
Apparantly, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan sang his famous hits like Main Jahan Rahun, Afreen, Jag Ghomeya and other hits at the event.
The Kapoor family also uploaded the event’s photos which made it to the social media.
We wonder when the tensions between both the artists community will be lessened so that once again, it gets proven that art is beyond borders!
