Saud Qasmi is a brilliant Pakistani television & film actor and producer, he has worked in many hit films. He has also produced hit serials like Yeh Zindagi Hai and Khuda Aur Mohabbat. Recently, Saud Qasmi and Javeria Saud appeared in Bol TV’s transmission Ramazan Main Bol, in the show, Saud talked about his late uncle Shakir Qasmi, who just passed away. He also talked about his impressive religious background.
Talking about his religious family background Saud said, “my father Maulana Zahir Qasmi was the first ever Pakistani Qari who used to recite for radio Pakistan, he did Pakistan’s first ever Quranic recitation of Surah Fatah on Radio Pakistan and then it was announced, ‘This is Radio Pakistan, Lahore’, at that time, all the famous Qaris including Qari Abdul Samad used to visit our place and we used to hold recitation sessions at our house, my uncle Qari Shakir Qasmi was an extremely famous Qari, he used to hold Iqra show on PTV, he was the first Pakistani Qari who went to UN and recited there, Zuhra Norahi was first Pakistani Qaria who came first, Allaho (the popular Hamd) was gifted to my father in Saudi Arabia and then my uncle Waheed Zafar Qasmi recited it and it went popular, Qari Waheed Zafar Qasmi is currently reciting Naats in live Ramazan show.
