Shoaib Malik and Sana Javed recently shocked the two nations when they dropped their wedding pictures out of the blue. People at first thought it was a shoot and later on started reacting to the news. The couple got a lot of backlash as both the stars never bothered to share if their marriages with Sania Mirza and Umair Jaswal have ended or not. Pakistanis loved Sania Mirza and thus they were shocked by Shoaib’s marriage as much as Indians were. There were speculations that the two met on Jeeto Pakistan where Shaista Lodhi was also present.
Shaista was a guest on Hafiz Ahmed’s podcast and she was asked if she knew about this whole scenario. Shaista is friends with Shoaib Malik and she has always supported him in his life and work. She clarified that both her friends were single when they got together and she is sad about the social media onslaught that started.
She further added that people on social media are free and have nothing to do. They do not even consider how the couple’s families will be affected by the mean comments that were pouring in. Shaista said that they are both adults and took a decision based on their own free choice.
