2017 has been a pretty disappointing year so far, in terms of cinema. None of the films have been praise worthy (except Balu Mahi which was good but still not unique.) An upcoming film Geo Sar Utha Kay is the latest talk of the town. The trailer of the film released last year but came to light recently only. The film is so much like old Pakistani Punjabi films and is based on the story of a gang.
This action movie is being directed by Nadeem Cheema and is written by Nasir Mehmood. While the cast consists of Babar Ali, Shehryar Cheema, Umer Cheema and Nasir Khan in pivotal roles. The film is expected to release this year itself.
Being shot in rural areas of Pakistan, Geo Sar Utha Kay is based on the gang of Rajanpur which was involved in criminal activities including murders and kidnappings. The group named ‘Chottu Gang’ led by Ghulam Rasool. The village was then cleared by the Pakistan Army through the operation, Zarb e Aahan.
