Umar Akmal is a talented and famous Pakistani cricketer. He has played all formats of cricket. He is an ace batter and wicket keeper who had played for the national cricket team between 2009 to 2019. Unfortunately, he faced a temporary ban by the Pakistan Cricket Board for eighteen months for not disclosing details regarding anonymous calls by match fixers. Now, Umar Akmal is out of the controversy and is playing cricket back, he also spent a few months in the USA for playing cricket. He also takes part in PSL.
Recently, he appeared in Momin Saqib’s show Had Kardi. In the show he revealed the reason of following the legal procedures about his match fixing scandal. He said that he has won the case.
Talking about fighting the case, Umar Akmal said, “I fought the case because I didn’t want my kids to suffer because of my scandals. I even spent all my money on my case, there was a time when I couldn’t buy a McDonald’s meal for my daughter. I was unable to pay her school fee, I didn’t send my daughter to school”.
