Pakistani dramas are famous across Asia due to their classic plot and tremendous acting skills of our very own actors. There are plenty of dramas releasing every month and it’s always hard to choose the better ones, (Not that I’m complaining since I am a bit of a TV show geek.) Anyways, let’s skip this and move to the part where you can catch these new TV series. So here is the list of a few dramas set to go on air in February (or expected to).
1) Rasm-e-Dunya
Starring Armeena Rana Khan, Billal Abbas and Sami Khan in the lead roles, Rasm-e-Dunya will air soon on Ary Digital. Veteran actors Samina Peerzada and Javed Sheikh will essay supporting roles. The basic plot revolves around the character played by Armeena, who is a happy go lucky girl but her life turns upside down as she’s deceived by her own aunt. It’s a family saga written by Imran Nazir, directed by Roomi Insha and produced by Abdullah Seja .
2) Tere Bina
The drama is based on the story of a girl who elopes from her house and lands in trouble and the rest is yet to be known. The lead cast consists of Sami Khan, Humayon Ashraf and Neelam Munir. Produced by Aijaz Aslam, directed by Syed Ali Raza, it is expected to air soon on Geo tv.
3) Khan
We’ve had many Khan’s till date, and the recent one to join the list is Nouman Ijaz in and as ‘Khan’. Besides, Nouman, Khan stars Ejaz Aslam, Atiqa Odho and Shaista lodhi in pivotal roles. Khan’s basic plot revolves around politics and might offer a change and connect to the masses. Written by Syed Atif Ali and directed by Ali Faizal, Khan will start on February 19th, Sunday 8pm on Geo tv. The promos seem quite interesting and Noumaan Ijaz’s dialogue delivery is as perfect as ever as he says:
“Main wo Khan hoon Jo shareefon se darta hai, badmashoon se nahi.”
4) Woh Aik Pal
Previously titled Aik Pal, embroiled in some controversies, drama Woh Aik Pal stars Feroze Khan, Ayesha Khan, Ramsha Khan, Ally Khan and Arij Fatima. It will soon air on Hum tv. Produced under the banner of Moomal Production, directed by Furqan Sheikh, it comes with a red signal since it is written by Sameera Fazal but i’m still going to give this drama a try because she has written some amazing dramas in past so yeah why not give her the benefit of doubt!
5) Yeh Raha Dil
Replacing Sanam and starting from Monday February 13th, 8 pm on Hum tv, Yeh Raha Dil stars Anam Ahmed, Yumna Zaidi and Ahmed Ali Akbar. It is written by the ace writer Mustafa Afridi, and is an MD Productions serial directed by Siraj-ul-Haq. The romantic comedy drama revolves around the lives of three characters, completely different personalities, in summary ‘a love triangle’ which sounds interesting.
6) Munkir
Penned by Zafar Mairaj, directed by Nadeem Siddiqui, Munkir stars Ahmed Ali Akbar, Osman Khalid Butt and Nida Khan in the lead roles. To what it seems from the promos and posters revealed by Tv one, the story might begin as of Runa (Nida Khan) is about to marry Zain (OKB) but falls for Gulraiz (Ahmed Ali Akbar), who is an innocent guy but a terrorist and decides to leave everything for Runa but discovers something about her which changes everything. The drama will air soon on Tv one.
Out of all, Yeh Raha Dil is the one i’m eagerly waiting for. Which drama are you looking forward to? Do share your thoughts.
