Most stars can maintain this fame with dignity, but many fail to carry on the legacy they are creating. They had dream debuts and an even dreamier run, but their careers ended in major slumps. Here is a list of Pakistani celebrities who could not maintain their hard-earned stardom:
Meera

Meera is a Pakistani film star. She has worked in hundreds of films and collaborated with all the major stars in the industry. She is still relevant, but her career took a huge nose-dive, thanks to the countless controversies she has been in over the years. Though she was among the top stars in the early 2000s, her failed Bollywood stint, secret marriages and leaked videos turned her into a pariah. She even started marketing herself as a problematic celebrity, and the media capitalised on her bad English and fibs in their shows.
Firdous Jamal

Firdous Jamal is a veteran Pakistani star. He started his career in the PTV era, and he managed to catch the attention of the producers and the audience. He gave many good projects, which are still considered classics, like Man Chalay Ka Sauda and Waris. He decided to destroy his reputation when he started going for interviews and age-shaming actresses on live television and podcasts. He has since gone after all the current superstars, and he recently badmouthed his older colleagues, most of whom have already passed away. The actor’s career has completely taken a nose dive then.
Nasir Adeeb

Nasir Adeeb is the star writer of the Pakistani film industry. He is in his 80s, and his career spans over 50 years in showbiz. He has worked with different generations. After Bilal Lashari roped him in for The Legend Of Maula Jatt, he revived his Lollywood career. The film’s success brought him personal success, and he started appearing in interviews and co-hosted a show about Lollywood celebrities. Nasir Adeen shared some unknown details about Reema Khan’s life, and that is where he started losing respect. Everyone called him out for linking Reema to the red-light area, and he had to apologise in the end. He is now known for controversial podcasts in addition to his films.

Aamir Liaquat Hussain

Aamir Liaquat Hussain was a star televangelist and politician. He is the pioneer of Ramadan transmissions, and his Aalim Online is what made him everyone’s favourite. He had a great image, but his personal life choices destroyed everything. When he married the now-actress Syeda Tuba Anwar and divorced his first wife, Syeda Bushra Iqbal, he lost many of his fans. Later on, he married Dania Malik, and the inappropriate TikToks and a private video leak ended it all for him. His ending was sad, and people still feel bad for how things panned out for him.

Saba Faisal is a very famous senior Pakistani star. She was a PTV news presenter, and she later started her acting career. She was loved for her styling and social media presence and her styling. But she exposed too much of her family and opinions on social media. The actress’s fight with her eldest daughter-in-law, combined with her extremely misogynistic views, has tarnished her aura.
Veena Malik

But things changed as he cheated on his now ex-wife, Sannia Ashfaq, with influencer Nyla Rajah. It got even worse as his wife was expecting their third child at the time. He has now divorced his first wife and married Nyla Rajah, a move which lost him many fans.
Sana Javed

Sana Javed is a star who achieved immense fame and success after her drama Khaani. Her pairing with Feroze Khan was loved by millions. She was among the top actresses in the drama industry at the time, but her later actions changed the audience’s perception. From misbehaviour with makeup artists and fellow actors to not announcing her divorce from Umair Jaswal destroyed her image. Moreover, she suddenly announced her marriage to Shoaib Malik, who people thought was married to Sania Mirza at the time, and this did not bode well for her popularity. She will be making her comeback soon with a drama, Bas Tera Saath Ho, and this may become her big comeback.
