The new season for dramas is about to start. Many big shows will premiere this summer, and many big stars will be making their screen comebacks. From big-budget dramas consisting of all the masala to thought-provoking stories, viewers will be treated to a lot of good shows.
Here is a list of dramas that are starting this summer on Pakistani television, and it consists of many highly anticipated names:
Doosra Chehra
Doosra Chehra is a mini-series that will air on Geo TV. It was highly anticipated since it was announced that Sanam Saeed is making her television comeback with it. Based on a very relevant topic of how the luxury life of Vloggers affects the minds of young people and makes them hate themselves, will be addressed through this Pakistani drama. The cast includes Sanam Saeed, Adeel Hussain, Saboor Aly, and Arez Ahmed. It is written by Rida Bilal and directed by Sheherzad Sheikh. The trailer is out, and it will air soon.
Mitti De Baway
Mitti De Baway is another big Pakistani drama that is in the works. This has caught the audience’s attention as it may bring superstars Mahira Khan and Wahaj Ali together on screens. With Nina Kashif as the producer and Haissam Hussain in the director’s chair, a good project is expected. Mitti De Baway is written by Faiza Iftikhar and it will air on Green TV. Though there may be production delays and there has been news about problems with keeping this cast due to other commitments of the stars. But the project is still high on the anticipation list.
Jinki Shadi Unki Shadi
Jinki Shadi Unki Shadi is another big Pakistani drama in the works. It is a Hum TV project. The writer for Jinki Shadi Unki Shadi is Syed Nabeel, while it will be directed by Saife Hassan. The show has Wahaj Ali and Sehar Khan, who will be paired together for the first time. Other cast members include Romaisa Khan, Syed Jibran, Arsalan Naseer, Sidra Niazi, and Nadia Afgan. This one will be coming out this summer.
Main Manto Nahin Hoon
Main Manto Nahin Hoon is a Pakistani drama that has been in the works for about 5 years now. The drama was going to be produced by Humayun Saeed, and it got delayed due to his other projects. It is about to drop soon, and we will have Humayun Saeed and Sajal Aly as the lead pair. The drama is written by Khalil ur Rehman Qamar and directed by Nadeem Baig. It will air on ARY Digital. The show also has Azaan Sami Khan, Asif Raza Mir, Nameer Khan, and others in the cast.
Kubra Khan & Shuja Asad’s Next
Kubra Khan and Shuja Asad are a new Pakistani drama pairing that people are looking forward to watching on their screens. Mehreen Jabbar, the ace director, is bringing a new drama, and it will air on ARY Digital. The other cast members include Saba Hameed, Muhammad Ahmed, Marina Khan, Shahzad Nawaz, Hajra Yamin, and others. With Mehreen Jabbar in the director’s chair, the audience expects a good drama to come out.
Case No. 9
Case No. 9 is another big Pakistani drama that will be released soon. It has a huge star cast with Saba Qamar in the lead. Case No. 9 will bring Saba Qamar and Aaminah Sheikh back together after Maat. The show also has Faysal Quraishi, Hina Bayat Khawaja, Noor ul Hassan, Syed Tanveer Hussain, and others. Meri Zindagi Hai Tu
Meri Zindagi Hai Tu will bring Hania Aamir and Bilal Abbas Khan together in a project. This one is hands down a Pakistani drama that fans are waiting for. Bilal Abbas Khan has been on a break since Ishq Murshid’s success, while Hania Aamir last gave a blockbuster with Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum. The show is being directed by Musaddeq Malik, and it is written by Radain Shah. Meri Zindagi Hai Tu will air on ARY Digital.
Sanwal Yaar Piya
Sanwal Yaar Piya is a big budget Pakistani drama. It was delayed before due to cast changes, and it is now in production. The drama boasts names like Ahmed Ali Akbar, Feroze Khan, and Durefishan Saleem. It is written by none other than Hashim Nadeem, who has a string of hits under his belt like Parizaad and Khuda Aur Mohabbat. The show is directed by Danish Nawaz, and it will air on Geo TV in the prime time slot.
Main Zameen Tu Aasman
