2024 Pakistani Dramas That Went Off Track

2024 Pakistani Dramas That Went Off Track

Pakistani dramas are loved by millions, and their limited number of episodes and relatable characters make the audience fall for them. Television is a medium accessible to everyone which makes Pakistani dramas reach even wider. Many dramas are able to attract audiences from their debut, and fans look forward to their progression, but they really go off-track towards the end. Such development often makes fans feel sour about wasting their precious time on such shows, while the talent of many actors is also wasted.

In the year 2024, many Pakistani dramas were able to make us go gaga over them while there were many which started great but the makers could not lead them through a stable progression and their stories either dragged or could not reach logical conclusions.

Here is a list of 2024 Pakistani Dramas that went off track:

Ishq Murshid

2024 Pakistani Dramas That Went Off Track

Ishq Murshid was most definitely among the biggest dramas of the season. The beautiful chemistry of the leading couple, showcasing the regional culture of Sindh and a detour from general saas-bahu content made Ishq Murshid everyone’s favourite. What went wrong though with the drama was its execution towards the end. With Shibra and Shahemeer married, the story should have ended but the makers ended up dragging it unnecessarily post-wedding. In the end Shahmeer became a killer, his father was white-washed while the whole sub-plot about Shahmeer leading the party and the country was thrown away. A very good drama that went terribly off-track in the end.

Mein

2024 Pakistani Dramas That Went Off Track

Mein was another drama that brought a huge cast with Ayeza Khan and Wahaj Ali in the lead. Shahzad Nawaz as Asif Uncle was another winner in the cast. The show had all the masala that can create a big hit. Ayeza Khan did a fantastic job as Mubashira Jaffar and the story had a lot of push and pull. However, this turned out to be another drama that drifted off the track in the end. The ending was incomplete and unsatisfying for the viewers.

Jaan Nisar

2024 Pakistani Dramas That Went Off Track

Jaan Nisar was a highly anticipated drama this year. It was not everyone’s cup of tea but it had a huge following due to the Deewangi pair Hiba Bukhari and Danish Taimoor making their comeback together. The drama was a typical story with over-the-top situations woven into the script but fans enjoyed it in the beginning. By the second half, Jaan Nisar was dragged, the situations stopped making any sense and now it has landed on the list of Pakistani dramas that went off-track this year. Better editing and a lesser number of episodes could have saved Jaan Nisar from a lot of criticism.

Jaan Se Pyara Juni

2024 Pakistani Dramas That Went Off Track

Jaan Se Pyara Juni starring Zahid Ahmed, Hira Mani and Mamya Shajaffar started off great. It had a small town vibe with a story that connected everyone from the start. Very slow progression, unnecessary twists and turning the characters upside down put many people off. Jaan Se Pyara Juni is another Pakistani drama that could not maintain the pace and tempo that it started with.

Radd

2024 Pakistani Dramas That Went Off Track

Radd was another drama with a good cast and its heart in the right place, but this show could never decide who to keep as the main villain. The characters kept reaching extremes without proper explanations. No one could understand the motivations for Arsalan Naseer’s character, and Radd ended with our hero taking a mental health break while he did not even know that his wife was pregnant. It was a roller coaster that went down the wrong track.

Akhara

2024 Pakistani Dramas That Went Off Track

Akhara is among the Pakistani dramas that brought a new soul to story-telling. It features a village setting, the rural culture of Punjab, the fitness that all the male leads bring to the screens, and a very emotional death scene. All was going well for Akhara, but the makers suddenly felt the need to turn it into a full-blown romance in the end, which was not its basic theme. It is a very good Pakistani drama that disappointed fans in the end.

Mannat Murad

2024 Pakistani Dramas That Went Off Track

Pakistani dramas this season spoke about emotional abuse too and Mannat Murad was one such show. Mannat Murad looked like a light watch when it was released but it turned into an emotional melodrama that was getting on everyone’s nerves in the end. People had different thoughts about the show throughout its run and it kept drifting from one pathway to another.

Jafaa

2024 Pakistani Dramas That Went Off Track

Jafaa is another Pakistani drama that was able to connect with the audience. Fans loved the show but as usual, once again the makers made a very green flag character take a drastic turn and Numair became something no one wanted him to become. The character Andaleeb is also very unpredictable and she decided to leave her baby just so she can commit suicide for a situation that she was not responsible for.

22 Qadam

2024 Pakistani Dramas That Went Off Track

22 Qadam stood out as a drama promoting women empowerment, with a strong premise and inspiring moments. However, it struggled with unnecessary dragging, ultimately taking the story off track and diluting its impact. Although it had the potential to leave a lasting impression, many viewers felt let down by the inconsistent execution. Wahaj Ali’s fans were especially dissatisfied with how his character arc developed, feeling it lacked the depth and growth they expected.

Adawat

2024 Pakistani Dramas That Went Off Track

Adawat was another drama that garnered high ratings and significant viewership. Pakistani dramas across various time slots are attracting large audiences, but they sometimes stray from the core storyline that initially engaged viewers. This was the case with Adawat, as it lost the direction it had established at the beginning, leaving fans disappointed.

This concludes the list of 2024 Pakistani dramas that began with strong potential but faltered along the way. These Pakistani dramas initially captured audiences with engaging storylines and compelling characters but struggled to stay consistent. While some managed to retain their popularity due to loyal fanbases or standout performances, most lost the interest of viewers as they drifted away from their original appeal. This trend highlights the importance of maintaining narrative focus to sustain audience engagement.
