Yousaf Sallahuddin is a brilliant Pakistani artist, philanthropist and socialite. Mian Yousaf Sallahuddin has a strong political background. He is the maternal grandson of the poet and literary scholar Allama Iqbal. He is the nephew of Javed Iqbal. His paternal grandfather, Mian Amiruddin, was the first Muslim Lord Mayor of Lahore. He has written and composed many songs for PTV. His show Virsa for PTV gained huge popularity. Virsa featured and promoted regional Pakistani musical culture.
Lately, Main Yousaf Sallahuddin appeared in Ahmed Ali Butt’s podcast where he talked about the professionalism and ethics of the old time prostitutes. Talking about it, he said, “I think that the prostitutes of Bazar E Husn were more professional, they were not vulgar, they used to wear full clothes, they used to learn the art and music, they used to learn dance. I think it is an injustice that it has been closed, once someone said to Nawab Kala Bagh to close Bazar E Husn, he replied, ‘if I will close it, the whole city will be converted into brothel, very much happening now’.
