ASP Syeda Sheherbano is a hard working Pakistani police officer currently serving in Gulberg Lahore. The brilliant ASP often makes headlines because of her acts of kindness. She was once praised for saving the retired stray dogs from giving death injections. The ASP also built a shelter home for retired dogs. ASP Sheherbano is once again garnering huge public praise after saving a lady in Lahore from the aggressive mob. When a Pakistani lady was seen wearing a shirt with Arabic words written on it, the charged mob attacked her after accusing her of disrespecting Islamic words. At that time, ASP Sheherbano saved the lady.

Well, in the interview with BBC Urdu, ASP Sheherbano shared the details of the incident. Talking about it, she said, ” I received an anonymous call around 5 pm when the caller told me the location and said, ‘here a lady is wearing a shirt with the calligraphy print and a mob has caught her, alleging her of disrespecting Quran, she’s under attack’. At that time, our prime duty was to save the lady and take her to a safer point. We take such calls so seriously, even we leave our important meetings for such reports”. She also talked about the incident with the Urdu Point anchor. Talking about the apology, she said, “the protection of the lady was important for us, so, we acted as per the situation, we did the things which were ensuring her safety”.
