Mann Jogi is the comeback of Sultana Siddiqui as a producer. She has come back with a nine episode powerful story which is touching upon a topic that is not openly talked about in Pakistan. The drama is based on how Halala is wrongfully used in Pakistan and what a woman has to go through after she is divorced by her husband. According to the drama Aliya was married off to Ibrahim for Halala forcefully, a practice that is not condoned in the religion.
We saw how the whole thing came around and how Ibrahim was beaten and pressured to say yes. Zafar Mairaj wrote and Kashif Nisar executed the scene where the roti was shared in a very symbolic manner and it showed how women are just considered a commodity and not a full human. The episode was eerie and showed how such halalas are done without adding any glamour to it.
