Recently, he appeared in Ahmed Ali Butt’s podcast where he talked about being neglected by Pakistani music industry.
Rafaqat Ali Khan said, “I think Pakistan has not valued me; I believe they have missed out on a great artist. They didn’t recognize my potential and worth. They could have taken so much more work from me. They have missed a great artist—I was a good artist. I love my country deeply, but there is a high level of discrimination in Pakistan, which we have been facing since the PTV days. It hasn’t ended; it still exists. We can still see the remnants of the lobby system in Pakistan.” Here is the link to the video:
Pakistani singer Umair Jaswal has also seen Rafaqat Khan’s clip and shared good words for him. Umair Jaswal wrote, “There is no fault in you, we are mediocre listeners. You are a great artist, we are sorry”
