Live transmissions and shows during Ramadan on various electronic media channels has become a tradition in Pakistan. The main purpose of live transmissions is to educate viewers, and give them Ramadan related entertainment. This year every channel is airing live transmissions hosted by multiple famous actors. Sometimes, these actors/hosts are directed to catch the audiences’ attention through over the top actions and segments in order to grab ratings and views. Pakistani actress Javeria Saud is also hosting a Ramadan transmission from which multiple clips are going viral.
In a recent viral clip, Sherry Raza and Ahmed Raza Qadri were reciting a beautiful Naat when Javeria Saud started crying during their recitation. Many fans criticized her reaction, calling it overacting. Here is the link to the video:
Javeria Saud faced severe public criticism after the video clip went viral on social media. Many said that she is overacting in this show. A fan wrote, “This is all happening for rating”. Another fan wrote, “What’s the purpose of all this drama, sit at home and do participate in worship”. Another fan stated, “They have forgotten Akhirat and have become worldly, they don’t think of Allah’s forgiveness but do take part in such acts” Almost every one said that crying part by Javeria Saud in Naat was just scripted.
