Ilma Jafri is a struggling Pakistani television actress and model who has been working in the media industry for around four years. Her famous dramas are Mushk, Taana Baana, Mere Sapney and Parizaad. She has also worked in multiple television commercials. Ilma played Maahi in Parizaad. The actor recently appeared in Aaj TV’s Ramadan transmission where she talked about the payment issues struggling actors face in the the drama industry.
In response to the host’s question: “Do you get payments on time?” Ilma said, “In the media industry, you never get paid on time, especially in the dramas. However, TV commercials are easy and you get payments in time but no one recognizes you. TV dramas are difficult but an actor gains fame through dramas only like many people still recognize me as Maahi from Parizaad.” Here is the link to the video:
