Nauman Ijaz is a veteran Pakistani actor and host known for his powerful performances and charismatic screen presence. He began his showbiz career as an actor in acting in the late 1980s. His notable dramas are Dasht, Mera Saeein, Durr e Shahwar, Jackson Heights, and Parizaad. The multi-talented actor also gained popularity as the host of the comedy talk show Mazaaq Raat on Dunya TV but was soon replaced by Vasay Chaudhary. Vasay then conducted the show for around 7 years and left the channel. Currently, Imran Ashraf hosts Mazaqraat.
Lately, Mazaqraat’s producer Irfan Asghar appeared in 365 Plus’s podcast where he disclosed the reason behind replacing Nauman Ijaz in Mazaqraat.
Irfan Asghar said, “About Nauman Ijaz, as I already told you that he didn’t use to see in the Lens. Secondly, he spent all his life in production or with producers so he wasn’t used to working for a longer span of time with one team. He was tuned as an actor who wraps up his work and switches to the other set. Every time he used to have a new team, new dates, new script, new projects and new people but even then he tried to do the show and gave his time, which is remarkable, he is a great man”
He further added that, “We won’t go into the details why Vasay was called but when Nauman Ijaz was hosting, most of the duration was divided between guests and Nauman Ijaz and comedians weren’t getting ample time so the makers decided to get Vasay in the show after which comedians got good time”.
