Famous Pakistani actor and comedian Javed Kodu passed away on Saturday, 12th April 2025, after a long battle with multiple life-threatening illnesses. He served the entertainment industry for nearly 47 years and appeared in more than 150 films, television dramas, and stage plays. His notable works include Aashiyana, Hero, Pagri Sambhal Jatta, Ainak Wala Jin, Boxer, Desan Da Raja, Jadu Nagri, and many others.
Today, his eldest son Tayyab shared the details of his last moments before death.
Talking about it, he said, “He was fine but at 9:00 PM, his blood pressure dropped. I took him to Shalimar Hospital, where he was given emergency treatment, but his blood pressure couldn’t return to normal. He was discharged soon after. We reached home, and he started having difficulty breathing. We took him back, but he passed away shortly after. He had already told me, ‘This Eid is my last Eid,’ and also asked me to take care of the family. He loved people deeply. I’m shocked at the courage of my father. He fought courageously with his illness. He was fond of meeting people, but no one used to visit him. He only wanted to meet his friends—we never needed any financial help. He was a perfect father.
