Aina Asif and Samar Jafri are two young actors whose on-screen chemistry and pairing became popular due to their blockbuster ARY Digital drama serial Mayi Ri. They portrayed a struggling young couple forced into marriage by their families. Their performances in the drama were also admired by fans. Now, the talented duo is back on ARY Digital with a new drama serial, Parwarish.
Today, the Parwarish cast appeared on Good Morning Pakistan, where they talked about their drama. Aina Asif and Samar Jafri shared details about their characters, and Samar also spoke about his experience working with Nauman Ijaz.
Talking about her character Aina Asif revealed, “Maya is similar to Annie because both handle situations differently and you can see it in both the characters. Maya is an aspiring doctor. She loves her studies and she can do anything for it. She wants to be a practicing doctor at any cost. And don’t take the character of Maya’s father wrong as he is forcing her into marriage because he wants to see his daughter settled. Maya is confused as she is passionate about her career but at the same time she loves Wali. Maya is a wonderful character and I tried to do justice in portraying her” Here is the link to the video :
Talking about his character, Samar Jafri said, “In the beginning, Wali was rude. He comes from abroad—he spent his early childhood in Pakistan, but then his parents took him overseas. Most of his upbringing was abroad, which made him a different person. Now, being back in Pakistan is a cultural shock for him. He’s getting annoyed with his cousin because he is a typical boy raised in Karachi, so it’s difficult for Wali to adjust”. Here is the link to the video:
Talking about his working experience with Nauman Ijaz, Samar said, “I am glad to have worked with Nauman Ijaz and Savera Nadeem. They are playing my parents, and I am a huge fan of Nauman sir. I once told my Baba that I enjoy working with him a lot—it’s like working with you. And it’s a great feeling; he is so supportive and gets invested in others’ characters as if they were his own. I feel as if I am working with my father.”
