Iqtidar was a mega hit with the audience. The show ran for so long that it became a habit for viewers. Fans loved the chemistry both Ali Raza and Anmol Baloch brought on screens as Shahnawaz Shah and Mehru. They were able to keep the audience hooked throughout the show but there were complaints about the show dragging a bit too much.
Ali Raza was a guest on Maliha Rehmn’s show and spoke about the show dragging. He said that yes he also felt like the audience was complaining about the show but with the last episode’s promo, they were happy again. The actor added that many people thought it was the director Fahim Burney’s decision to drag the drama which is not true. Many other factors were involved in dragging Iqtidar this much.
Ali Raza also revealed that he and Anmol wanted the show to end now when the makers might have dragged it a bit more. The actor said that when a show is so loved then you want it to be crisp. You do not want it to get any hate. Iqtidar performed well throughout and the team wanted it to end on a high note. It ended with 62 episodes and it was Green TV’s best performing drama.
