Pakistani celebrities are also observing the growing jingoism from the Indian side. What went down that a terrorist attack took place in the Pahalgam area of IIOJK resulting in a loss of 26 lives. The Indian side as always did not go for investigation or actually holding the perpetrators responsible. They were seen blaming Pakistan without any evidence. Artists were banned, Indus Water Treaty suspended, ambassadors were called back and the Wagah-Attari border was sealed.
Indian media is once again propagating jingoism and people on social media are also threatening Pakistan with a war. Pakistanis are as usual choosing memes as their weapons. Many Indian celebrities are also supporting extremist views and Pakistani celebrities are also now coming out and sharing what they think.
Shamoon Abbasi and Yasir Nawaz are stars who took to Instagram and called out Indian jingoism. Farhan Saeed and Umair Jaswal called Indian propaganda cringe.
Shamoon Abbasi said that he condoles for the lost lives but what is wrong is how the Indian media is doing so much fake propaganda without proper research. He took his time and understood the whole situation before commenting while the Indian media is simply propagating jingosim. Yasir Nawaz also shared a video and said “What do Indians think? Are we wearing bangles?” If you are a nuclear power then we are also a nuclear power. And political differences aside, we all stand for our country.
