Asim Azhar and Hania Aamir’s old dating history comes up time and again on the internet. They have both moved forward in their lives with Asim already engaged to Merub Ali, but the commentary never stops. Hania and Merub used to be close friends in the past and that contributes to a lot of trolling that sometimes comes the young couple’s way.
Recently, Ali Safina made a joke about Hania and Asim’s past infront of Merub Ali. He asked if Asim ever sings the song On Haniya O Diljaniya for Merub. Merub gracefully handled the situation but it became a bit uncomfortable. The moment went viral on social media.

Asim Azhar addressed this situation in an interview with Faridoon Shahryar. He was asked how he handles when people sometimes cross lines regarding your personal life in shows. The singer had a very intelligent answer to this. He said that yes everyone has the right to their privacy but one thing needs to be accepted. In today’s day and age, if you decide to put your life on social media, you are open to scrutiny. Why did you put yourself in such a situation if you were not mentally strong enough to handle it. Thus he knows that this happens and lines sometimes get crossed which is not a good precedent.

Asim Azhar also shared that he is a follower of Ahl e Bait and their conduct. He believes in their teachings and he has learnt not to speak too much. This saves you from a lot of evils. He wants to improve his listening skills for sure but he has adopted this one teaching from them which has a net positive effect on his life. He opens up to people who he has ‘mohabbat’ for and otherwise he remains distant.
