Today, Amber Khan was a guest at Madeha Naqvi’s Morning Show Subh Ka Samaa. In the show, Amber Khan opened up about her oppressive and torturous marriage.
Talking about her marriage, Amber Khan said, “When I got married, I was very young, it’s truly your good luck if you find a good partner. My relationship with my in-laws was good, but I had issues with my husband. I used to listen to him and follow all his commands. I never valued my self-respect the way I should have in that relationship. My parents were shocked at my behavior because they knew my true nature which wasn’t that submissive. I didn’t even speak up when I needed to. It was my mother who guided me to raise my voice”.
She further added, “My in-laws were supportive, and I even used to speak up for my sister-in-law. But when it came to myself, I wasn’t clever or brave enough. My mother gave me confidence, but still, I never spoke in front of my husband. No one ever corrected him. He was a spoiled brat, used to having his way and not listening to anyone. When I finally began to speak up, our relationship started to change. I endured abuse and torture for a long time. My father was always concerned about me, but there is a limit to everything. Now, I’ve reached a point in life where I can no longer tolerate anyone’s wrong behavior.” Here is the link to the video:
