Sardar Latif Khosa is a senior Pakistani politician and lawyer who was associated with Benazir Bhutto’s party, the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), from 1970 to 2023. Currently, he is a sitting Member of the National Assembly (MNA) and an important leader of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI). Latif Khosa also served as the 35th Governor of Punjab from 13 January 2011 to 2 January 2013.
Latif Khosa recently appeared on Wasi Shah’s show Zabardast with Wasi Shah, where he opened up about the tragic demise of his young son.
While speaking about the incident, Sardar Latif Khosa said, “The most painful moment for me was when I lost my young son, he was just 16 and studying at Aitchison College. He was in 9th grade. He passed away in an accident. We always used to send a driver with him, but that day, he gave 500 rupees to the driver and took the car himself. He met with a tragic accident and was put on a ventilator. He remained on the ventilator for 17 days, but according to the doctors, he was brain-dead. They said we were only prolonging his pain. The day Bhutto passed away, he also left this world. After that, nothing was the same. We left that house. The car was completely smashed, but we never thought about the material loss — I had lost my competent son. It was painful to absorb this loss but life has to go on. And I have moved on.”
