Mahira Khan and Humayun Saeed are all set to grace the big screen with their upcoming film Love Guru, scheduled for release on Eid ul Azha 2025. The two are reuniting after a decade-long gap. Their last project together was Bin Roye, which was well-received by fans. Currently, Mahira and Humayun are busy promoting their film, appearing in interviews with various digital creators and social media platforms.
The two actors also appeared in a light-hearted chat session with Nukta Life, where they opened up about working together after so many years. Mahira Khan also revealed why she was reluctant to work in Humayun Saeed’s films. Humayun Saeed also revealed that he offered biggest hits to Mahira.
Talking about working with Mahira, Humayun Saeed shared, “It’s not that I didn’t approach her for films. I asked her to do Jawani Phir Nahi Ani, Punjab Nahi Jaungi, and London Nahi Jaunga, but she turned them down.”
Mahira responded, “I’ve never made decisions based on whether a project will be a hit or flop. Even now, I prefer choosing one project at a time and invest all my energy into it. When Punjab Nahi Jaungi was offered to me, I was already working on Verna. It’s hard for me to manage multiple projects at once.”
Humayun added, “I think Mahira doesn’t really want to do comedy or rom-coms.” Mahira further shared that she had also turned down Vasay Chaudhry’s dramas in the past, but this time, it was director Nadeem Baig who convinced her to sign Love Guru. Here is the link to the video:
