Recently, Omer Shahzad appeared in Madeha Naqvi’s morning show Subh Ka Samaa. In the show, he opened up about his wish of marrying in Masjid e Nabwi, Madina.
Talking about it, he said, “It felt like a miracle because I had no idea or plan, yet it happened. I had always wished to have my Nikah in Saudi Arabia. I didn’t plan anything, but I had the will to make it happen. I had friends in both Makkah and Madina. One of my friends asked me about my plans, and I told him I had none. However, my wife had wished to have our Nikah in Madina. According to my friend, arrangements of Nikah in Makkah are easier than in Madina due to tight security and restrictions. But thankfully, it still happened. We were a group of 21 people. It was challenging because the security was very vigilant. A few security personnel had their doubts, but we managed to hold a quiet Nikah with just a few people present.”
