Javed Sheikh said, “I was shooting Chief Saab in Turkey. She was playing the daughter of a rich man, played by Asif Khan, and I was filming a scene in the countryside where I saw Saleem, her love interest in the film. I described the look I wanted, and she appeared wearing a skirt and stockings. I got angry because we wanted her to wear jeans. Meera left and returned a few minutes later wearing jeans and a white shirt—the exact dress code I had given her. My assistant told me she had gone to the neighbors and requested to borrow the jeans and shirt from a girl who was wearing them.”
