Parwarish is a very important drama. It is talking about the generation gap between parents and children and how to overcome it through mutual understanding. One household is of Maya aka Aina Asif and her parents played by Nazar ul Hasan and Bakhtawar Mazhar. There has been a lot of debate around what is going on with that family and when they will support their daughter.
Nazar ul Hasan plays Maya’s father in Parwarish. He spoke about why Shaheer is so negative in his approach to life. He had a very interesting point of view. He said that Shaheer is a normal middle class man who has two daughters. He knows how there is lawlessness in Pakistan. He has seen how men target women who have no support behind them. He is always thinking of his own mortality. His vision is very narrow about the universe and life and he wants to marry off Maya so there will be another male figure who could take care of his family if he is not able to do it anymore.

Bakhtawar Mazhar shared that she also had reservations about the scene where Waleed harasses Maya in the kitchen and Sadia does not speak up. She is a mom to two daughters in real life and she will never behave that way. The director convinced her that this will come back in future episodes and it did.

Bakhtawar Mazhar and Nazar ul Hasan also spoke about what Parwarish changed in them as parents. Nazar said that he is father to four sons and he has always lived a very rough life. With Parwarish, he shared that he now feels he needs to bring further softness in his life. His attitude changed a lot after he got married and after playing a father to two daughters, he felt there should be more softness in his life. Bakhtawar, on the other hand, is a mom to two daughters. She revealed that she always felt she was a good mom and knew everything about her daughters. She has learnt so much more about challenges of Gen Z after playing Sadia in Parwarish.
