One video with a caption that, “Momina Iqbal is a transgender.” The video went viral and this became a trend on TikTok and similar platforms where people were questioning Momina Iqbal’s gender. Momina Iqbal was a guest on Something Haute and she addressed this controversy herself. She was uncomfortable speaking about it but she still wanted to clarify. The actress said that she did not even know that something like that was happening. Then she started getting calls from journalists. Journalists were point blank asking her if she was a “woman”. This affected her mental health and the first two days of this controversy were shattering for her.
Momina shared that her mother was okay and did not care what was being said. Her friends also made jokes about this fake controversy. She was still very shaken. She said how can you ask a woman if she is a woman. How will she prove it. She added if she was a transgender, she is at a good place in her life and she would own it. She will tell the world that she is a transgender and she would not have been ashamed of it.
