Main Manto Nahi Hoon is the recent drama written by Khalil ur Rehman Qamar, directed by Nadeem Baig and starring Sajal Aly and Humayun Saeed. Saima Khan is playing a powerful character of Surraiya Phupho and she has captivated everyone from her very first appearance on the show. Everyone is looking forward to seeing more of her in the episodes and she looks epic.
Surraiya is ruthless yet loving, strong yet vulnerable and she drops truth bombs like no one’s business. Her chemistry with Sajal Aly is phenomenal and they are both carrying Main Manto Nahi Hoon. But Saima Khan was not actually going to play this very strong character.
Director Nadeem Baig revealed that Saima Khan rejected this role multiple times. He kept calling her and she was rejecting it. He revealed that he has been a big fan of the superstar since when he used to watch her films. He always thought that no one showed Saima to the potential that she possesses. In the end, he called Syed Noor and asked him to convince her to sign for the role. She signed up and the result is nothing short of magic.
