Sonu Nigam is a popular Bollywood playback singer who is often hailed as the Modern Rafi because of his versatility and range. Recently, Sonu Nigam appeared in Faridoon Sheharyar’s interview in which he thanked and expressed his special feelings for Atta Ullah Eesa Khelwi because Sonu Nigam started his career with covering Atta Ullah’s iconic song Acha Sila Dia Tu Ne Mere Pyar Ka. He also credited his success to the legendary singer.
Talking about it, Sonu Nigam said, “Definitely, he is a beautiful soul and holds great importance in my life. When my career just started with his songs, he called me and said, ‘Mr. Sonu, I am Atta Ullah Essa Khelwi from Pakistan, and I want to tell you that you sang it really well.’ I was just nineteen at that time. It was very kind of him. I pray for all those legendary singers who contributed to my success—I am indebted to him.
