The actor has done a great job but the show initially got backlash. This happened as the lead actress Hina Afridi is a newcomer and really young compared to Faysal Quraishi, who is an established star.
Faysal Quraishi even received a lot of backlash from his industry colleagues and spoke to Nadia Khan on her show for the age shaming he was getting. He has now spoken about the backlash to The Current and he has some harsh words for all the people who were criticizing the show and age-shaming him.
Faysal Quraishi said that now people have seen the drama, so they know how the story was. But he has seen how people will just start criticizing any play. They will age shame, body shame and troll someone. Though there is always this preaching about not bullying anyone but these same people end up doing it. He called the critics “lurkay hue lotay” who can go in any direction.
