Hamid Rana is a senior Pakistani television and theater actor who rose to fame through his blockbuster PTV series Sona Chandi. His on-screen chemistry with co-actor Chandi, played by Sheeba Hassan, became an instant hit. Sona Chandi was written by Munnu Bhai, directed by Shahzad Khalil, and became one of PTV’s most-watched dramas. His other notable works include Ya Naseeb Clinic and Girja. Besides acting, Hamid Rana also served in Pakistan’s government services.
Recently, Hamid Rana gave an interview to Asad Kaifi, in which he shared his family’s story along with a beautiful message for people about treating daughters-in-law with respect.
Talking about it, Hamid Rana said, “My son had a fight with my daughter-in-law, so they both came to me. I always take my daughter-in-law’s side. Once, my son complained, “Father, you always take her side.” I replied, “Who does she have now? She has left everyone for this house.” He then threatened to leave the house, and I did not stop him. He left, my wife used to cry, and he was also uncomfortable outside the home because we had kept him like a prince. Eventually, he returned, and everything became fine between them. You must take a stand for your daughters-in-law; they are no less than your own daughters.” Here is the link to the video:
