The Global Sumud Flotilla is a legal humanitarian service/mission which carries humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza. Multiple countries and activists take part in this mission. Today, the Israeli naval warships have encircled the Global Sumud Flotilla in international waters, approximately 250 nautical miles from the coast of Gaza, and are actively intercepting civilian vessels. The Global Sumud Flotilla has demanded safe passage for its legal, non-violent humanitarian mission to Palestine.

The Global Sumud Flotilla was carrying food and humanitarian aid to Gaza. The activists also include Saad Edhi, the son of Faisal Edhi and grandson of Abdul Sattar Edhi. He joined the flotilla from Marmaris, Turkey. Around 500 international activists are also part of the flotilla, delivering aid to Palestine.
Saad Edhi shared the last video before being captured. In the video, he said, “If the world is watching this video, it means the flotilla has been intercepted by Israel, and it is the responsibility of the Pakistan government to bring them safely back to Pakistan.” Watch the video here:
People across the world are calling Israel’s act of capturing the flotilla shameful. Many are saying that their atrocities will never be forgiven or forgotten and that they will be punished for their heinous crimes. One wrote, “Imagine being arrested for feeding the starving.” Another wrote, “When it was about Iraq, everyone was speaking out, but when it is about Israel, all nations are quiet.” Read comments.
