Aap Ki Izzat is a phenomenal new Pakistani drama that is gaining more hype and widespread critical and public acclaim with each passing episode. So far, Hum TV has aired four episodes, which have amassed around 11 million views. The drama has also received remarkable TRP ratings. Aap Ki Izzat is written by the acclaimed Pakistani writer Umera Ahmed, produced by Nina Kashif and Momina Duraid, and directed by Saifee Hassan. The cast features Ahsan Khan, Saif Ali, Urwa Hocane, Sania Saeed, and Nauman Masood.

Fans are loving the cast, with many saying that all the actors are nailing their roles through their exceptional performances, especially Urwa Hocane and Ahsan Khan. However, did you know that the two lead stars were not the only choices for the series? Several other actors were also considered by the makers before the final casting.

According to media critic Dr Aijaz Waris, Urwa Hocane, Sarah Khan, Mahira Khan, Saba Qamar, and Sanam Baloch were all considered for the female lead in Aap Ki Izzat. Mahira Khan reportedly declined the role as she was working on Mitti De Baway, while Saba Qamar had prior project commitments. Sarah Khan later became unavailable after getting pregnant, which ultimately led to Urwa Hocane being cast. He further revealed that Ahsan Khan was always the makers’ first choice for the male lead. However, they had also considered Shaan Shahid and Fawad Khan before ultimately sticking with Ahsan Khan. Watch the video here:
Sanam Baloch was also considered for Bina’s character:

Viewers of Aap Ki Izzat believe that Urwa Hocane and Ahsan Khan have delivered such outstanding performances that they can no longer imagine anyone else in these roles. However, one fan felt that the makers should have approached Sanam Baloch at least once before finalising the cast.
