Dayan was a hit Pakistani prime-time drama serial that recently ended after 58 episodes. It was aired on Geo TV every Monday and Tuesday. The drama was written by Fatima Faizan and Amber Azhar, and directed by Siraj Ul Haq, who is also known for his serial Tere Bin. It was produced by 7th Sky Entertainment and counted among the grand productions of Geo Entertainment. The cast included big names like Ahsan Khan, Hira Mani, Mehwish Hayat, Osama Tahir, Shamil Khan, Sohail Sameer, Zainab Qayyum, Afsheen Hayat, Nayyar Ejaz, and Nida Mumtaz.
Mehwish Hayat’s sister, Afsheen Hayat, also played the important character of Zakia in Dayan. Her character Zakia, who was Zawar Shah’s sister, died in the 38th episode, and fans praised Afsheen’s natural and emotional acting. Despite the intense sequences, the cast of Dayan had an amazing time together on set.
